Singapore Media Awards 2009 invites nominations for Special Achievement Awards
Inaugurated in 2005, the Singapore Media Awards (SMA) gives recognition to outstanding media practices and strategies that contribute to the success and results of an advertising campaign. The spirit of the Awards encourages media excellence, celebrating significant achievements and contributions of Singapore’s media talents.
Entries aside, nominations are welcomed for the Special Achievement Awards (SAA).
Media Person of the Year
Young Media Person of the Year
Media Sales Person of the Year
These categories are free of entry fees and candidates may be nominated by anyone in the media industry – clients, agencies or media owners.
The awards aim to promote media professionals as role models who demonstrate commitment to the development of our media industry through outstanding performances and dedication to their work. A worthy example is the appointed Chairman of SMA 2009, Pat Lim of PHD Singapore, who is the recipient of the Media Person of the Year Award last year.
The organiser, Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As) will like to send out one last call for nominations to those who know someone who deserves to be in the running for the SAA.
Nomination forms are available on www.sma.com.sg. Nominators are required to provide citation on why the nominee merits consideration for the award. Once selected, the candidates will be asked to supply a detailed profile for the judging.
A gala dinner will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel on 30 September 2009 (Wednesday) to celebrate the winners on the Awards Night.
