In encouraging initiatives that promotes better business, increase
operational efficiency and productivity for our industry, the 4As recently
co-hosted a presentation with eBUS on the introduction of digital tapeless
delivery solutions for TV commercials on April 22 at the Arts House.
Chua Bee Hong, 4As Executive Director said: "In print media, we have
electronic transmissions for many years now, yet in broadcast media, the
industry has not fully embraced digital delivery platforms. The support from
broadcasters MediaCorp and StarHub shows that the industry is ready to take
a giant leap towards tape-less delivery. It will no doubt have a tremendous
impact on all advertising agencies and make delivery much more efficient and
transparent."
In Singapore, eBUS has installed equipment and trained staff at leading
broadcasters such as MediaCorp and StarHub whilst other regional
broadcasters are also keen to adopt the technology.
In giving their support for the eBUS system, Germaine Ng Ferguson, Head of
StarHub's Advertising Sales said: "The eBus tapeless delivery system
provides advertisers with a good platform for submitting television
commercials in a quick, convenient and reliable way. By delivering TV
commercials digitally, advertisers can reduce their approval and delivery
times, and lessen the possibility of losing critical materials. StarHub
strongly supports eBus' web-based management and distribution solution that
is set to transform how marketers here deliver their television commercials
to broadcasters in Singapore and around the region," she added.
Likewise, MediaCorp is also supportive. Lily Chua, Senior Vice President of
Commercial Operations, said: "MediaCorp welcomes this technology and looks
forward to working with eBUS on the digital delivery of TV commercials to be
aired on our channels."
eBUS is a leader in the digital management and delivery of digital assets
for television broadcasters, advertisers and other video publishers. In New Zealand, the eBUS system has delivered over 35,000 television commercials to
leading broadcasters who are now such strong supporters of digital
delivery.
