The members of the 1st Executive Committee (EXCO) for the CAAAA were installed at the Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on March 18 this year.

The EXCO line-up: Chairman – Yutaka Narita (Japan Advertising Agencies Association); Vice-Chairman – Srinivasan K Swamy (Advertising Agencies Association of India); Secretary – Anthony Kang (Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore); Treasurer – Harris Thajeb (Indonesian Association of Advertising Agencies); and Executive Committee Member – Park Kwang-Soon (Korea Association of Advertising Agencies) will serve a two-year term.
 
With Singapore 4As playing an active role in supporting the confederation, CAAAA was officially registered in Singapore last October.
 
CAAAA is the realisation of plans that first started at the AdAsia 2005 Congress held in Singapore. Representatives from the 4As in the region who were attending the congress mooted the idea of forming an alliance as it was felt that there was a pressing need to get together to actively discuss issues and pursue matters affecting their practices, particularly income, in today’s fast changing marketing and media landscape.
 
With representations from ten associations in the region: China, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines, CAAAA will work on issues of common interests, fostering greater cohesion amongst members.
