Born in Melbourne and raised by computers, Adrian works as an art director on the 4th floor of a rather sunny and cheerful office (Ogilvy Singapore) where he works on clients like Coke, Ben & Jerry's, FHM, Dove and Nike. Ang Sheng Jin

Senior Art Director |
Since young, Sheng Jin aspired to be an architect. As a kid, he’d cut up cardboard boxes to build toy castles. But en route to his ambition, he was lured by advertising and traded in his scissors for markers.
He is currently an art director with McCann Erickson Singapore and has worked on clients like HSBC, MasterCard, MayBank, KFC, Nestlé, Panasonic, Sony Ericsson and Unilever over the last few years.
His works are regularly rejected but some were lucky enough to be recognised by D&AD, One Show, Clio, Communication Arts, Art Directors Club, Young Guns, Adfest, Spikes and CCA. He is also fortunate to have garnered three gold lions at Cannes (two of which are Singapore’s first golds in Promo and Design).

Edward Ong
Y&R
Creative Director
|
Edward lived and worked in Malaysia all his life. That is, until Jan 2007 when he decided to cross the border with his wife and their 4-month old baby.
In Singapore, he worked with creative people from many different countries and this has somewhat shaped his current worldview. Mainly, that Australians are loud, the English are football hooligans but donít mind the occasional cup of tea, the Indians are almost always into cricket or politics, and the locals Ö well, heís forgiven them.
His work can be found in the Guinness World Record book (look up worldís largest ant farm habitat), and has been featured as case studies in Jim Aitchisonís Cutting Edge Advertising series. Most of the time, however, his ads end up as fish wrapper in wet markets around Singapore.
Edward is learning (unsuccessfully) how to be a father to his now 2 and a half year old son, and is hoping to make another baby (or two) in his spare time.

Teng Run Run
DDB
Art Director
|
Run Run has run a long way, from the starting point of yesterday's visualiser to today's accomplished art director.

And along the way, she has been decorated with awards and medals that run the gamut from CCA to Cannes.
But in true runner's spirit, she will always runs for the finish line simply because– a quitter never wins and a winner never quits.
Her only problem with running sometimes, is that the vodka tends to spill out of her martini glass especially when she is wearing heels.

Rachel Goh
Y&R Singapore
Copywriter |
Daughter of an advertising executive and mother to fraternal twins,
Rachel’s development as a ‘creative’ person has been moulded by the
same forces that make you and me. With over 10 years spent in the
stellar, yet sacrilegious advertising industry in parallel to a career
as an emerging artist who has showed at the Singapore Biennale, she
often finds herself lost and confused at the demands of the colliding
creative forces acting within her.
Yet it is her attempt to straddle both sides of her soul, one which
seeks for a pragmatic attempt at living, and the other which urges her
to aspire the ethereal, that both inspires and challenges her
contemporaries. Plagued by a strong interest in the essence of
existence expressed through various forms, the medium of film has
always been something close to her heart – the singular medium that
initiated her foray into both the art and creative industries.
With this singular approach, she hopes to develop and nurture young
minds in order to validate her own findings about art and advertising.

Eric Seow - Head of Jury
Beacon Pictures
Photographer
|
Eric Seow's passion for photography began as early as his young days in school. During an interview with Elle Magazine, he shared, " It started when I 'confiscated' a plastic toy camera, from my dad, which he was selling in his shop when I was in primary school. And I was hooked. I took pictures of everything. I still have some pictures from then (some three decades ago), which is the beauty of photography; an instant in time preserved eternally".
His continual love of capturing interesting ideas is evident in his approach and dedication to create some of the most memorable works ever seen.
During the more creative periods of advertising, many years ago in Singapore, when he was just starting out, one of the jobs he worked on was the Tiger Beer Campaign. "I had to do everything myself with just two assistants. Not having the luxury of a large crew, set builder, props manager, etc, we did every bit of the prop, the whole set, research, and so on. It was very stressful but yet at the end of it, extremely satisfying. "
Today, Eric's work continually evolves while remaining relevant and exciting. Being invited to the Crowbar Awards, he hope to bring new insights, share his experience with the younger generation and give new talent the recognition they deserve.
Eric currently resides in Singapore with his wife and two children, whom he calls his greatest achievement.

Further studying overseas in England at the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design, has without any doubt strongly influence Szeling's aesthetic and photographic style.

A visual craftsman in his own right, Szeling's work often shows great affiliation with mood and situational elements, telling a universal language portrayed on a photographic canvas.
Being a multifaceted photographer, Szeling seeks new grounds in bright and dashing hues of conceptual ideas, and yet respecting the traditional boundaries of media genres. His strength comes not from the lens, but in his eye.

Shooting Gallery
Group Managing Director
|
Sebastian entered the market as a fresh-eyed art student. Also a much sought after photographer and director today, Sebastian has been known to be a maverick possessing a unique and effective blend of creativity, fiery passion and foresight.
Never giving up his dream of becoming an art director one day, he showed gritty persistence and imagination in his first stint as a photographer’s assistant. Even while he was constantly kept busy by the demands of his job, he honed the skills of the trade from the bottom up.
Armed with only a 35mm camera, a couple of lenses and the proceeds from the sale of his car, The Shooting Gallery was born in 1987 out of his necessity to survive.
Perhaps one of the few things that The Shooting Gallery of today has in common with its humble roots is the professionalism of Sebastian and his crew. The collective enterprise has bagged practically every major advertising award in the world including a Gold Lion at Cannes, secured long-term deals with major clients and teamed up with top-class professionals from around the globe.

Besides being the President of the Professional Photographers Association (Singapore), Sebastian also sits on the advisory panel of Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ curriculum advisory committee. He is a member of the Singapore Workforce Development Agency’s Media & Communications Manpower Skills & Training Council.

Being an artist has always been my aspiration. I was fortunate to become a full-fledged photographer without any relevant background just after two years working as a studio assistant.
In 1997, I started my own company - Teo Studio, establishing myself as a commercial photographer, specializing in advertisement work for local and regional agencies.
Fine arts has long been my avid interest, as performing arts and visual arts are such pleasures to enjoy. It has been my constant desire to bring across fine arts into my daily photographic work. Inspirations bombard me in my everyday life and I feel that being a photographer is really thrilling and exciting.
In recent years, I have been actively participating in various local and international photographic competitions, achieving awards such as Cannes, D&AD, CA, Clio, Adfest, etc. For more details, please visit my website http://www.teostudio.com.sg |
