Tay Guan Hin, Regional Executive Creative Director of JWT South East Asia and one of Asia's top ranking creatives has been appointed as the Chief-of-Jury of the inaugural Asian Outdoor Advertising (AOA) Awards.

Thomas Ang, General Manager of Fuse says, “Guan is a highly respected figure in the creative industry who has won many accolades and awards. As a veteran judge of many prestigious award shows with Cannes' Outdoor Lions most recently announced, there was no doubt in the decision of inviting him on board as Chief-of-Jury. We are honoured that he will chair the AOA Awards Jury.”

Guan, the only Singaporean ever to be appointed as a permanent member on JWT's Worldwide Creative Council, launched his career as the first Asian to win the Los Angeles Creative Club Student competition's Best of Show award. He then went on to win at creative competitions like Cannes, One Show, D&AD, Clio, Asian Advertising Awards and AdFest, earning him rankings as one of the region's top ten creatives by Campaign Brief Asia for the past four years, as well as seventh in the magazine's publication, The Work: 2004.

“It is a great opportunity to be serving as the inaugural Chief-of-Jury for AOA Awards. I am honoured to be able to play a part in bringing outdoor advertising to the forefront of its creative potential,” says Guan of his appointment.

Passionate about raising advertising standards, Guan generously contributes to the advertising industry through active participation in industry events.

To honour excellence in the creative use of outdoor media, AOA aims to elevate the standard and consciousness of the medium. The event aims to facilitate growth and development of outdoor advertising through three components comprising of an exhibition, conference and awards.
