Dentsu Singapore Gets into the Sports Game

Dentsu Singapore has started a new Sports & Sponsorship Marketing division within the local office.

Led by ex-DDB Group Head, Alan Lim, this new division will leverage on Dentsu's long-established sports divisions in Tokyo which brings sports events, sponsorships, endorsements, broadcast rights and media content etc…to the vast Asian markets. Dentsu holds the marketing and broadcast rights to some of the world's biggest sports properties like the FIFA World Cup, the Asian Games and the Olympic Games.

“The sports platform provides brands with targeted avenues to reach out to the consumer in an engaging and emotional manner. We're pleased to be able to tap into Dentsu's strong worldwide network and bring the same expertise into SE Asia”, said Anthony Kang, President of Dentsu Singapore.

On the local front, Dentsu will work closely with the Singapore Sports Council and other sports organizations in the areas of sponsorships, development of the sports industry, and bringing marquee sports events to Singapore.
