The 4As announced at the Crowbar Seminar, the appointment of this year’s Crowbar Awards co-chairmen – Eric Yeo, Head of Art of Ogilvy & Mather and Goh Wee Kim, Associate Creative Director of BBDO Singapore.
Armed with their watering can and barley seeds, they gave “gardening” tips on how to grow in the creative industry - idea, crafting, originality, insight and thinking out of the box.
After graduating from Temasek Polytechnic in 1992, Goh started his career at Batey Ads as a Junior Art Director. During his career, Goh has worked at Bates, DDB and Leo Burnett before his recent move to BBDO Singapore in 2005.
Yeo, known as a “maniacal machine”, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) then got his break as a Senior Visualiser at Fong Haque & Soh. He has worked with Wunderman, Leo Burnett and FCB.
Started in 2001 as a local students’ creative show, the Crowbar Awards is an annual platform for emerging your creatives to showcase their best works and learn from their peers. Since 2004, the Crowbar Awards has reached beyond the boundaries of national lines to as far away as the United Kingdom.
