- The Creative Circle Awards (CCA) announces the lineup of jury heads this year. As Head of Jury, they will each lead a jury of creatives who will select the best works of the year from their respective category.
"Heading the Advertising Jury is Ng Tian It, Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Singapore; Pann Lim, Creative Director of Kinetic Singapore is to head the Design Jury. Melvyn Lim, Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore is the head of Interactive Jury and the Direct Mail & Promotions Jury will be headed by Steve Llewellyn, Executive Creative Director of Rocket X."
"Amongst them, they are always at the forefront of their fields and whose works have won numerous accolades across disciplines. I look forward to having them onboard, bringing with them a wealth of expertise that will serve us well in times of tough decisions," said Valerie Cheng, Chairman of CCA 2010.
Together with the Creative Advisory Panel (CAP), the Heads of Jury did a review on the entry kit and introduced several changes:
Interactive: To better reflect the current components and dynamics of the digital sphere, the sub categories are refined and renamed. One notable change is the addition of a new sub category - "Odd and Wonderful" that awards works that are unconventional, offbeat and provide a fresh perspective in thought.
DM/Promo:Recognising the difference in discipline, Direct Mail and Promotional entries are judged with very different criteria this year. Thus they have been separated into two categories.
Titanium Gong:There will be the introduction of the Titanium Gong, equivalent to the overall Best of Show. This award recognises the best work that is media neutral and clearly stands out as the biggest idea. It is not an entered category but will be selected from across the disciplines.
CCA 2010 is now open for entries. This year also marks the introduction of online entry submission. Entry forms can be completed online. Entry deadline is 18 June 2010.
