SMA 2010 introduces new categories


SMA 2010

Singapore, 14 May 2010 - The Singapore Media Awards 2010 expands its award categories to include two new Single Media categories and a new Special Achievement Awards category.

"Best Use of Mobile" and "Best Use of Search" are introduced, expanding on the categories for digital entries. Connie Chan, Chairman of SMA 2010 said, “The digital sphere is continually evolving with a plethora of digital media platforms. The new categories level the playing field, allowing recognition be given to outstanding strategies within mobile and search which might otherwise find it hard to stand against the rest of the digital entries."

The other new award this year is the “Marketer of the Year”, which seeks to recognise marketing professional who possess unflagging passion for their brand, coupled with an astuteness and propensity to challenge the norm that has made their brand an outstanding success.

With the addition of the new categories, SMA now has a total of 21 award categories. SMA 2010 is now open for entries. Special Achievement Awards categories are open for nominations. Entry deadline is 25 June 2010.
