cca

Singapore, 28 August 2009 - The Crowbars 2009 Awards Show marked a historical moment when Lim Si Ping from LASALLE College of the Arts scooped both the Best of Interactive and Best of Design awards, a first that an entry has won both the Best of Category awards

To top that off, she also walked away with the Best of Show award at the awards show. Her win exemplifies the versatility of student’s work across disciplines. The judges are impressed by how she “expressed herself in such a multiple level manner” and commended her “immersive and engaging story-telling” through the use of different mediums.

Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore, the Crowbar Awards is into its 9th edition this year. About the Crowbar Awards:
Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As), the Crowbar Awards is an annual platform for emerging young creatives to showcase their best works and learn from their peers.

The first Student Creative Awards was held in 2001, where students were encouraged to “grab a crowbar and break in.....to the industry....”, thus it was affectionately dubbed the Crowbar Awards. From a local event to one that reaches beyond the boundaries of national lines, the Crowbars have certainly evolved over the years. Turning international has attracted entries from countries as close by as across the causeway to as far away as the United Kingdom, China, Australia and New Zealand.
