Nseries: iTalentstar
- Best Youth Marketing Campaign for

SMA’s highest accolade, the
Grand Prix award, went to ZenithOptimedia,
for its “Explore Singapore 2007”
campaign. The campaign also won Best
Value Media Campaign. Winners of the
Grand Prix will attend the Cannes
International Advertising Festival
next year.
The “Explore Singapore 2007”
campaign was aimed to increase visitorship
to the museums amongst Singaporeans,
positioning it as a leisure activity
for an average Singaporean family.
The jury felt that the campaign was
outstanding, smart and innovative.
With a tight media budget, ZenithOptimedia
developed a successful campaign that
consisted of a series of advertorials,
using Mark Lee as the Museum “Ambassador”,
engaging taxi drivers as key tactical
“ambassadors”, and creating
an online platform via Photoblogging
and Facebook.
16 awards were given out altogether
covering 11 single and campaign categories,
Media Person of the Year, Young Media
Person of the Year, Media Sales Person
of the Year, Grand Prix and the Media
Agency of the Year.
This year, the organizers introduced
an invitation for nominations for
the Special Achievement Awards –
Media Person of the Year, Young Media
Person of the Year and Media Sales
Person of the Year – in response
to feedback received from previous
years. These categories were free
of entry fees and could be submitted
by anyone in the industry –
be it clients, media owners or agencies.
Shortlisted nominees were asked to
submit a detailed profile for the
final judging as their credentials
are an important consideration in
deciding the winner.
Receiving this year’s Special
Achievement Awards are:
Media Person of the Year – Pat
Lim from PHD Singapore
Young Media Person of the Year - Ariane
Goo from OMD Singapore
Media Sales Person of the Year –
Sabrina Tan from JCDecaux
"The increased number of submissions
